EYEVIGIL EV5000 automatic hydraulic bollard
EYEVIGIL EV5000 is a high-strength, automatic hydraulic bollard designed for anti-ram vehicle protection at high-security sites. Built with reinforced materials, it serves as an effective physical barrier against unauthorized vehicle access and potential vehicle-based threats.
This retractable bollard is ideal for controlling entry points and securing sensitive locations. It is commonly used in:
- High-value and critical infrastructure facilities
- Government and administrative buildings
- Military and defense installations
- Restricted or controlled-access zones
The EV5000 system allows authorized vehicles to pass while preventing unauthorized entry, ensuring both security and operational efficiency.
Anti-terrorist, anti-ramming bollard
The EYEVIGIL Model EV5000 bollard is a reinforced automatic anti-ram road blocker for the anti-terrorist protection of particularly important facilities. It controls the access of heavy wheeled vehicles to restricted areas, guarded military and administrative special facilities.
Specifications
- The anti-ram protection level corresponds to class EV5000
- it is capable of stopping a truck weighing up to 7.5 tons, moving at a speed of up to 40 km/h.
- Made of high-strength structural steel with the use of materials that provide resistance to corrosion and extreme climatic conditions.
- The design provides for hidden or exposed placement, easily integrates with access control and video surveillance systems.
- The lifting/lowering mechanism can be either automatic or mechanical, which increases the efficiency of security work and personnel safety.
Advantages of the SS4 Hydraulic Bollard
Key Features
- Integrated Hydraulic System: The EV5000 does not require external hydraulic lines. The pump and hydraulic cylinder are combined into a single unit, powered by a 30-meter electric cable (included), simplifying installation and maintenance.
- All-Climate Performance: Engineered for harsh environments, the bollard operates in temperatures ranging from –40°C to +60°C and includes a built-in heating system for reliable performance in cold conditions.
- Flexible Control Options: The system can be operated using multiple control methods, including:
- Dry contact from a security checkpoint
- Remote radio key fobs (one- or two-button)
- Vehicle RFID tags
- Magnetic access cards
- License plate recognition systems
- Automatic operation can be configured through:
- Induction loops
- Infrared sensors
- Programmable delay timers
- Magnetic loop systems
- High Durability: Constructed from premium 16Mn steel, the EV5000 is resistant to corrosion, moisture, and chemicals. It features reliable sealing in both raised and lowered positions, with actuator protection rated to IP68.
- Impact & Penetration Resistance The EV5000 bollard is designed to withstand extreme force and provide maximum protection against vehicle ramming.
- Impact Resistance: Capable of absorbing impact energy up to 220 kg without visible structural deformation, maintaining full functionality after heavy impact.
- Breakthrough Resistance: Rated at 700 kg, it can stop a 7.5-ton vehicle traveling at 40 km/h, effectively preventing unauthorized entry into protected zones.
Installation diagram with water drainage into the drainage layer
- Prepare a trench of the required dimensions.
- Fill the bottom with crushed stone and sand to create a drainage layer of at least 150 mm, and compact it.
- Prepare the pipes for the cables.
- Install the bollards at the required distance and adjust them to the level.
- Fasten the bollards together with reinforcement.
- Lay the cables (the recommended length to the control unit is up to 15 meters) and drainage pipes.
- Perform a test run of the equipment.
- Backfill with soil and compact it, then pour concrete.

Connecting EV5000 bollards to the control unit
- Power Supply: The control unit supplies a stable power supply to the bollard motors. Polarity and contact reliability are checked.
- Control Signals: Signals from control buttons, the access control system, or the central automation system are sent to the input modules of the control unit. From there, a command is sent to the bollard raising/lowering electric mechanism.
- Feedback: The bollards are equipped with position sensors (up/down), the information from which is returned to the control unit for status monitoring. If the bollard is fully raised or lowered, the corresponding sensor is activated, which allows the system to confirm the command.
- Overload Protection: The control unit is equipped with fuses and circuit breakers to protect the motors and electronics from short circuits or overloads.
- Integration with External Systems: Communication with video surveillance, alarm, and access control systems is established via interfaces (relay outputs, signal lines, data transmission protocols). This ensures comprehensive security management.

Additional options for the bollard
- The control unit operates up to 4 bollards based on signals from remote controls and sensors. An analog unit is included in the standard package; a digital unit is optional.
- Induction loops detect the presence of vehicles directly in front of the safety posts, based on the object's metal weight. Magnetic loops are mounted in the road surface on both sides of the bollards. This additionally prevents the posts from raising when crossing the barriers.
- Remote controls allow manual opening/closing of the entrance from the vehicle or from the checkpoint. A wireless remote control is supplied with the controller; a wired remote control is also available as standard.
- An RFID reader for a contactless tag installed inside the vehicle. It operates on the principle of an automatic transponder. The radio chip requires no action from the security guard or driver to access the facility.
- Traffic lights clearly notify the driver of the checkpoint status. They are installed on both sides of the entrance group. They reduce the risk of accidental damage to vehicles and road blockers by 90%.
- Photocells detect objects near the bollard line and their exit from the protected area. A photocell prevents blocking while vehicles are moving (for example, with a trailer).
- A video camera records license plates. If the license plate is in the ACS database, the access control system automatically unlocks the access control system.
EV5000 bollard available in RAL colours
Powder coating reliably protects bollards from mechanical impact and aggressive environments. The scratch- and chemical-resistant coating guarantees a long service life for barrier structures. Perfect for blending with your landscape design, choose from any RAL color when ordering access control equipment.
Long service life
Excellent performance properties: high resistance to corrosion, humidity and sudden temperature changes, resistance to mechanical damage and aggressive agents.
Easy to process and maintain
- Increased strength. Painted steel has good mechanical properties.
- Aesthetically appealing appearance. The bright surface and choice of colors provide the product with a wide range of applications.
- Compliance with current hygiene requirements. The painted steel surface prevents bacteria and dirt from penetrating.
- The excellent combinability of painted steel allows it to be perfectly combined with a wide variety of materials and decors.
Areas of application
EV5000 anti-terrorist roadblocks protect entry points to government, secret, closed military, and border security facilities.
